Over the past several months, I’ve continued to expand my involvement in medical-legal work, including several expert witness engagements and a recent Independent Medical Examination (IME) involving a scald injury. These experiences have strengthened my focus on clear communication, objective case review, and applying more than three decades of clinical plastic surgery experience to legal questions.
This work has become an important extension of my practice, allowing me to contribute meaningfully to cases involving standard of care, surgical outcomes, injury evaluation, and causation analysis. I’ve enjoyed the intellectual challenge and the opportunity to provide clarity in complex situations, particularly when medical details intersect with legal issues.
For more background on how this part of my practice began, you can read my introductory post here:
I look forward to adding more case insights, observations, and commentary relevant to plastic-surgery-related litigation and IMEs.
